Update: Margaret's funeral will be held at Shrewsbury Crematorium on Friday 22nd August 2025 at 2pm. This will be followed by a wake at Wellington Cricket Club.

Margaret was introduced to Wellington Cricket Club by her soon-to-be husband Peter in the early 1960s and went on to become a dedicated servant and stalwart of the club for most of her life.

She helped to establish the club's Ladies Committee, taking a leading role in fundraising and organising matchday teas at Orleton Park. She also offered tremendous support to Peter in his role as Secretary for well over four decades.

Watching their sons, Gavin and Adam, playing cricket gave Peter and Margaret immense pleasure and they made many friends at Wellington and around the county from the boundary edge.

Our thoughts are with Gavin, Adam, and the whole family at this sad time. Rest in peace, Marg.
