The long-standing club favourite saw an incredible turnout, with 94 ladies coming together to enjoy an afternoon of cricket, community, and fantastic fundraising.

The highly anticipated event, which continues to be exceptionally well supported by the club’s membership and the wider local community, raised a phenomenal total of £1,671 across three vital causes.

This year’s fundraising efforts included £800 donated to Severn Hospice to support their critical end-of-life care, and £350 raised for Crohn's & Colitis UK. Furthermore, £521 was raised directly for the Wellington CC Junior Section. These grassroots funds will be put to immediate and practical use, financing the formal coaching qualifications for three new prospective coaches, ensuring the club can continue to deliver high-quality and safe training for its young cricketers.

Wellington Cricket Club would like to place on record its sincere gratitude to the event's two main sponsors, The Carpet Bank and A1 Glass and Glazing, whose generous backing made the afternoon possible. The club also extends its thanks to the numerous local businesses and companies who kindly supported the event by donating fantastic prizes for the charity raffle.

An event of this scale does not happen without the dedication of hardworking volunteers. The club wishes to say a massive thank you to the organising committee—Jane, Amie, Dympna, Rachel, Michelle, and Natalie—for their tireless work, meticulous planning, and commitment to making the day such a resounding success.
