Wellington Cricket Club is looking to expand our dedicated safeguarding team, which plays a vital role in ensuring our club remains a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for everyone.

No prior safeguarding experience is required to take on this role, and full training will be provided to ensure you have all the tools you need.

As part of the safeguarding team, you will assist with the following key activities:

- Ensuring official roles at the club are only undertaken by individuals with the appropriate checks and qualifications.
- Initiating and verifying ECB Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
- Maintaining the club's database of officials and their qualifications.
- Responding to any safeguarding incidents or concerns raised, liaising closely with Cricket Shropshire's safeguarding team.
- Promoting good practice in safeguarding and acting as a reliable source of advice for our members.
