Everything You Need to Know: Wrekin Eatin' Festival 2026

David Ross9 Jul - 11:00

We cannot wait to welcome you all to Orleton Park this Sunday, 12th July for the ultimate summer day out!

To help you plan your visit and ensure everyone has a fantastic, safe, and smooth-running day, we have put together a quick guide covering everything you need to know before you arrive.

?️ Tickets & Entry
Advance tickets are strictly limited! We highly recommend booking online in advance to guarantee your entry. Any remaining unsold tickets will be available on the gate, but booking ahead is the best way to avoid disappointment.

☀️ Weather & Comfort
The weather forecast is looking absolutely glorious! With a warm and sunny day expected, please remember to bring plenty of suncream and a hat to stay protected. We have plenty of space on the outfield, so don't forget to bring your picnic blankets and camping chairs to set up your perfect spot for the day!

? Food, Drink & The Quarter-Final Cure
We have an unbelievable line-up of street food bringing you mouth-watering flavours from all over the world. However, due to this weekend's World Cup fixtures, there will be strictly NO Norwegian food on site! ????

Whatever the score is in Saturday night's massive quarter-final clash between England and Norway, the festival is the absolute perfect place to either continue the celebrations or drown your sorrows with a cold pint and a burger!

Payment: While most of our brilliant vendors accept card payments, we recommend bringing a combination of both cash and card just in case card machines lose signal when the site gets busy.

? Dogs Welcome
Your four-legged friends are more than welcome to join the fun! We just ask that they are kept on a lead at all times and that you remain mindful of them in the warm weather.

❤️ It’s All for a Good Cause
The Wrekin Eatin' Festival is proudly organised and run entirely by our dedicated club volunteers. Every single penny of profit goes directly back into supporting Wellington Cricket Club and our select local charities.

?️ Parking, Travel & Access
To help reduce congestion around the site, we kindly ask you to plan your journey in advance.

?‍♂️ Walk or Car Share
If you live locally, please walk to the event if you are able to. We are within easy walking distance of much of Wellington.

? On-Site Parking
Limited parking is available at the cricket club for £3 per vehicle, including dedicated Blue Badge parking. This operates on a strict first-come, first-served basis, and spaces are very limited.

⛔ Road Restrictions (Red Zone)
If you are coming from further afield, please do not park on the roads near the cricket club. Parking restrictions will be in place, and this "red zone" has been extended this year. There will also be strict parking enforcement around Haygate Fields (Lewis Crescent). Please do not attempt to park here and be respectful of our neighbours at all times.

?️ The Best Option? Park in Town and Walk!
Wellington has plenty of free council car parks that are just a 10-minute walk from the site via Haygate Road.

Top car park options (Free to use, but may require a free ticket displayed):

Leisure Centre – TF1 1LX
Wellington Medical Practice – TF1 1PZ
Tan Bank – TF1 1HJ
Railway Station – TF1 1BY
