Parking and Access
Wellington Cricket Club is within walking distance of large parts of Wellington. If you live in the area, please leave your car at home and arrive on foot if possible. It is set to be a dry and mild evening, so why not call in to one of our great pubs or curry houses before or after the show and extend your night out?
Please note that parking is only available on site for disabled visitors with a pre-ordered slot; this must be added to your basket at checkout. There will be no on-site parking for visitors without a Blue Badge.
Parking is freely available in Wellington town centre. All guests travelling by car should park there and arrive on foot via Haygate Road. The car parks with the biggest capacity are the Leisure Centre (TF1 1LX), the Medical Practice (TF1 1PZ), Tan Bank (TF1 1HJ), and the Railway Station (TF1 1BY). Please note: some of Wellington’s car parks require a free ticket from the machine.
Local roads will not be available for parking as restrictions will be in place. Furthermore, special restrictions will be in force at the Haygate Fields development – please do not attempt to park here under any circumstances.

When arriving and exiting the event, please ensure that you show consideration to our neighbours.
Event Timings
Doors open for the fairground at 5:30PM. Please do not attempt to arrive earlier than this time as you will not be able to gain entry. The fireworks display is due to commence at 7:30PM and will last for approximately 15 minutes.
Weather and Conditions
Following a dry summer, our ground is in good condition under foot, but it is still November, so please wear appropriate footwear and warm clothing.
Ticketing
As in recent years this is an online ticketed event. You can buy your tickets here right up to the start of the event - but you will not be able to buy them on the gate itself.
Other Things To Note
- Not all stalls will be able to accept cards on the night, so make sure you bring a bit of cash with you.
- Please do not attempt to bring sparkers or alcohol into the event.
- Dogs are allowed at this event – but only if they are kept on a lead.
On behalf of the volunteers behind this event, we hope you enjoy your evening and thank you for supporting this fundraising event. The money raised from The Big Blast goes a long way to supporting our community cricket club, and our chosen local charities, so your support is greatly appreciated.
