Wellington Cricket Club is thrilled to announce the return of our annual fireworks spectacular, The Big Blast!
Sponsored this year by fantastic local businesses Hariley Solutions and Staffing Lab, the town's biggest and most breathtaking display is back to light up the night sky on Saturday, 7th November 2026.
As our most vital fundraising event of the year, all proceeds help us continue to support and develop grassroots cricket in our community, alongside making donations to worthy local charities.
What to Expect
Gates will open at 5:30 PM, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the atmosphere before the main event. We have expanded our event area this year, meaning there is even more room for everyone to safely enjoy the evening.
Epic Fireworks Display: Our jaw-dropping show will begin at 7:30 PM. Delivered by Jubilee Fireworks—the renowned pyrotechnics team behind displays at the Commonwealth Games and Alton Towers—expect more explosions, whistles, and flashes than ever before!
Family Fun: Keep the kids entertained with a variety of fairground rides, games, and stalls.
Food & Drink: Indulge in fantastic street food, including burgers, noodles, a hog roast, and candy floss. Our public bar will be fully stocked with alcoholic and soft drinks, including warming mulled wine. (Please remember to bring some cash, as not all independent stalls can accept card payments!)

To ensure a safe and comfortable night for all our visitors, this is a fixed-capacity event and digital tickets only.

Getting Here & Parking
Please be aware that there is no on-site parking available at the club, with the exception of pre-booked disabled parking slots (which must be added to your basket at checkout).
Guests travelling by car are asked to park freely in Wellington town centre and arrive on foot via Haygate Road. The largest nearby car parks are the Leisure Centre (TF1 1LX), Medical Practice (TF1 1PZ), Tan Bank (TF1 1HJ), and the Railway Station (TF1 1BY).
Strict parking restrictions will be in force on local residential roads, including special restrictions at the Haygate Fields development. Please be neighbourly, do not attempt to park on these roads, and visit the event on foot where possible.
We would like to extend a massive thank you to our headline sponsors, Hariley Solutions and Staffing Lab, as well as Peter Holt for his kind support in hosting the event.
Wrap up warm, get your tickets early, and we cannot wait to see you all on the 7th of November for a truly unforgettable night!
