***Update*** Covid Guidance from 17th May There are several big changes to the rules as we move to the next stage of relaxation.

As we move to the next stage of the relaxation of Covid restrictions in England, there are several changes to how this will impact on cricket at Wellington.

Rules For spectators

Spectators are now allowed at all Wellington matches and training sessions but must abide by the new social distancing guidelines and importantly must not gather in groups of more than 30.

Rules For Hospitality

Our Hospitality Rules remain as in the previous stage, but with the addition of indoor bubbles.

This means that members, visitors and guests are able to be seated inside the pavilion and on the balcony. These bubbles will again be table service and you can only enjoy a drink whilst seated at your table. When not at a table or drinking, you must wear your facemask, including when you go to the toilet.

The Beer Garden will stay open and continue to take the form of external table service as you may be familiar with from other venues.

Customers are allowed to bring their own chairs and tables and seat themselves in our Beer Garden, which has now been extended to include the area around the groundsman’s shed and the conifer trees between the two fields. If you take up this option you must bring chairs AND A TABLE (ie. not just chairs).

Whether seated indoors or outdoors, everyone must observe the Rule of 6 and follow the one-way system in place. It is also a legal requirement for you to scan in on the NHS Covid App. There will be signs in place to inform you of the rules. We will now accept cash and card payments.

We will continue to publish our hospitality hours on our match day graphics on a daily basis so that members, guests and visitors will know what time they can come down and enjoy a drink whilst watching some cricket.

Rules For CHANGING ROOMS

Players and officials are now able to make use of the changing rooms; however, indoor social distancing guidelines must be followed. This means that only six players should be in each changing room at any time.

Match Day Protocols

Finally, all those taking part in match days at Wellington should be familiar with our Match Day Protocols, which are largely unchanged from last year. These tell you how to arrive and what rules you need to follow during matchplay.

You can view these here -> Wellington Cricket Club COVID 19 match day protocols. April 2021
