Colin's wife Pat, grandson Matt, and the whole family, were touched that so many friends and teammates were able to join in the minute's silence before yesterday's 1st XI match against Allscott Heath.
It was a fitting tribute to life-long servant of the club and it meant a lot to his family to see how much he was loved and respected within the community.
Colin would certainly have approved of the afternoon's results with Wellington's players earning four wins whilst wearing their black armbands in his memory.
We have had many members asking for details of Colin's funeral, which we are now able to confirm. The funeral service will be held at Hadley Parish Church on Thursday 15th August at 12pm. This will be followed immediately by the wake at Wellington Cricket Club.
