All Stars

All Stars Cricket is an ECB initiative and is aimed at providing children aged five to eight with a great first experience in cricket.

By registering for All Stars Cricket at Wellington Cricket Club your child get eight weeks of jam-packed fun, activity and skills development.

The program is suitable for all children new to cricket and sport, as the sessions are designed to teach the basic skills of the game.

  • Batting – hitting a moving ball
  • Throwing – underarm and overarm
  • Catching – small and large balls
  • Bowling – overarm
  • Running – lots of movement
  • Teamwork – fun games with friends
  • Communication – the basics of cricket
  • Spirit of Cricket – how to respect others

For more information, you can visit the ECB website.

Wellington CC All Stars – 2023

The ECB initiative is an 8 week program but at WCC, we run for 10 weeks (weather permitting) for no extra cost.

(Covid restrictions permitting) the WCC All Stars 2023 program will run on Friday evenings starting on 12th May between 5:45pm and 6:45pm at the Club.

Registration for the 2023 All Stars Cricket Program is now open via this link.

All girls and boys aged 5-8 are welcome, and each All Stars registered child will receive a pack of cricket goodies including a cricket bat, ball, backpack, and a personalised shirt to keep so that they can continue their newfound love of cricket when they go home.

Sessions will be led by Dave Ross with assistance from other club coaches/assistant coaches. All coaches receive ECB activator training and all hold valid DBS certificates. We always have trained First Aiders on site during sessions.
