Introducing All Stars and Dynamos for 2021
Today marks the official launch of the ECB’s 2021 All Stars and Dynamos schemes across the country.
Here’s all the information you need to know about how both programs will run at Wellington CC in 2021.
All Stars Cricket
The aim of All Stars is to provide boys and girls aged five to eight with a great first experience in cricket. The program is suitable for all children whether they are new to cricket and sport or not, as the sessions are designed to teach the basic skills of the game.
The ECB suggests an 8 week program, but at Wellington, we run for 10 weeks, giving you even better value for money. The 2021 sessions will run on a Sunday morning (09:30-10:30am) starting on Sunday May 9th.
Dynamos Cricket Camp
Dynamos Cricket is the new ECB initiative aimed at providing children aged eight to eleven with a fantastic next step after All Stars Cricket – as well as acting as a perfect introduction for all 8-11 year-olds new to the sport.
Wellington CC plan to run Dynamos as a “Cricket Camp” during the Whitsun half-term with sessions taking place on Tuesday 1st – Thursday 3rd June from 10:00am – 2:30pm.
Dynamos will be open to full Wellington Juniors in these age categories, as well as new or prospective members.
It is a bonus offering, and will be paid for and run completely separately to the Wellington CC Juniors section (which includes training every Monday from April to July, plus matches, festivals and other benefits).
As such, entry to this special half-term programme is not included in Wellington CC Junior Membership and those wanting to take part will need to sign up for Dynamos as well.
You can register here for our Dynamos “Cricket Camp” in June or, for more information, please take a look at our dedicated Dynamos page where you will also find contact information if you have any questions.
