Cricket Force is national initiative from the ECB to encourage cricket clubs to “get ready” for the new season. The programme is designed to bring clubs and local communities closer together, and ensure grounds and facilities are ready for the new season.
Tasks can range from annual maintenance to major improvements. 2019 Cricket Force involved painting the picket fences, repairing the nets, cleaning the Pavilion, setting out boundary ropes etc.
As well as helping the Club prepare for the new season, it’s also a great way to catch up with other members you may not have seen over the winter.
We are running Cricket Force over two separate mornings this year. Saturday 28th March and Sunday 29th March – both between the hours of 9am and 12pm.
UPDATE (18 March 2020) | Cricket Force 2020 has had to be cancelled – there will however be tasks that still need to be done in anticipation of the season and if these can be done in a safe and responsible way we will be seeking willing volunteers. More will follow on this in due course.
Please confirm with your captain which day you will be attending. If you do not have a captain, please inform Steve Oliver of your availability on 07831 708771.
