*UPDATED* Covid Guidance At Wellington CC: Until 17th May

Since we made our last announcement on Covid guidelines, the ECB has updated and clarified their rules and we are now able to open our beer garden during matches. The following applies to all matches up to at least 17th May.

The ECB has stipulated that spectators are not permitted at cricket at the current time. There is an exemption to this rule for one parent or guardian of U18 players.
However there has now been clarification that hospitality customers are not classed as spectators and are allowed on site if they are enjoying a drink in the beer garden.
Otherwise the only individuals allowed at the ground during play will be the players, officials and coaches of the teams playing.
We will have an official at the entrance of the ground to enforce these rules and make sure that everyone understands them.

Rules For Hospitality

We will be publishing our hospitality hours on our matchday graphics on a daily basis so that members, guests and visitors will know what time they can come down and enjoy a drink whilst watching some cricket.
The Beer Garden will take the form of external table service as you may be familiar with from other venues. Everyone must observe the Rule of 6, make contactless payments and follow the one-way system in place. There will be signs in place to inform you of the rules for our beer garden.
Update: Customers are also allowed to bring their own chairs and tables and seat themselves in our Beer Garden, which has now been extended to include the area around the groundsman’s shed and the conifer trees between the two fields. If you take up this option you must bring chairs AND A TABLE (ie. not just chairs).
The only indoor facility open at the cricket club at this time will be the toilets. You must be wearing a facemask to access the toilets and follow the one-way system at all times.

Matchday Protocols

Finally, all those taking part in matchdays at Wellington should be familiar with our Matchday Protocols, which are largely unchanged from last year. These tell you how to arrive and what rules you need to follow during matchplay.
