Club Receives Rotary Award

July 26, 2022 News
We are delighted to have received a £600 grant from Wellington Rotary Club to contribute towards the purchase of new equipment for the junior section.
It was great that the local charity has recognised the benefits which the cricket club provides to young people in the area. Over 200 boys and girls are learning the game at Orleton Park this summer, which places a great demand on our equipment, so any assistance in this regard is greatly appreciated.
Secretary David Ross welcomed Rotary President Richard Studd to the club on Monday 25th July to watch the U10 Boys in training and receive the cheque.
Richard also pledged to create a new Rotary Club endeavour award, which will be presented at our Junior Awards Night at the end of the season.
On behalf of everyone at Wellington Cricket Club, we would like to thank Richard and his Rotary colleagues for their wonderful and generous support.
