Seconds Suffer Defeat
By Matthew Dickenson
Mouler's side defeated by low lying Penkridge
The second team suffered only their second defeat of the season on Saturday to Penkridge. Winning the toss Mouler declared to bat on what was a slow wicket. Wellington posted a what seemed competitive total of 155 off their overs thanks to the middle order hitting of Martin Weill
(39) no one else ever seem to trouble the score card with extra's second top scoring (32).
In reply the Penkridge batters had an edgy opening partnership, swaying the tie away from Wellington. A good spell of bowling from Jonny Black brought some quick wickets and gave Wellington some hope but the damage was done and Penkridge secured a 6 wicket win.
