The report in Wisden was as follows:
Yortkshire won by four wickets. Robinson gaveYorkshire early control with three for 17 in his twelve overs and Shropshire were poorly placed with 78 for five at lunch. Burton and Gale added 80 and Shropshire's figth back continued when Smith took two early wickets. Lumb and Hampshire restored Yorkshire's command by adding 115. Breakwell dismissed them both in the same over. Old and Sidebottom also went before Yorkshire cruised to victory without undue alarm. Hampshire won the Man of the Match award.
