New Volunteers Sought For Junior Training

By David Ross

We are delighted to have had a big surge in junior members this summer, but it has put a strain on our volunteers. Can you help?

Wellington Cricket Club are looking for parents and club members to help get involved with junior training.

We are currently a little short of hands in our booming girls section, and also at U10 and All Stars (age 5-8) level. If you have a child in any of these groups - or if you don't! - and are interested in helping out, please contact Angela Coalbran on (07951 900636) or Wendy Macdonald for All Stars (07972 897147).

No prior knowledge or experience is needed, just a willingness to get involved. Volunteers do not need to commit to every session, we are happy for people to help out on their own terms, be it as little or as often as they can!

We also appeal to club members, especially those aged 16-to-21, to consider getting involved if they are interested in becoming qualified sports coaches. Interested parties will be put through the relevant qualifications if they demonstrate that they are willing to volunteer at the club. Please contact Angela for more details.
